Villa Sbertoli
Villa Sbertoli was built in the 1800s by a wealthy Italian, but as the story goes, his own son got a psychiatric illness. The wealthy father converted the villa into a hospital for mental diseases. During World War II the villa was used as a political prison and when the war ended, it returned again as a mental asylum. It remained as such until the late 1980s and then it got closed… I just had to see this place myself... too bad it was getting late and soon it was to dark to photograph so we had to leave...
